| Mission The After School Dance and Tumbling program fosters discipline, creativity, leadership and a love for the arts while challenging students both mentally and physically within the familiarity and convenience of the school dance room. All classes are open to the public and as in all dance studios are offered the same quality of learning and an opportunity to perform in the annual May recital. |
| Fall into Dance and Tumbling |
After School Dance and Tumbling classes begin Tuesday, September 2 Miss Bowers learned to love dance and tumbling at an early age and her dream is to pass that love and appreciation on to her students. She created the After School Dance and Tumbling program 12 years ago so she could share her knowledge of dance and gymnastics with children ages 5 to 14. Miss Bowers earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s degree from National-Louis University in Education. She has an extensive performance and teaching resume’ and is trained in gymnastics and several diverse dance styles. She has integrated this diversity into her own style of teaching and creates lessons that can be adapted to various forms of learning. Teaching in a variety of settings, from dance studios, public schools and colleges, has allowed her to develop programs that incorporate dance and athletic movement for all children.
